this place get super crowded at some point, not so sure why though. some people get their food faster even though they came later, I assume that they call to order, but how?! it's very unsatisfying when that happened. but there's bunch of weird people at this in n out, that night i was here, there's 4 stoners driving a 2014 mustang gt, and they all asking for food to every customer at in n out, so it's just like a bad vibe to eat at this place kindda. but hey, i like it, the workers are super friendly, but the space to order is so small. other than that, it's in n out, what can you expect better than that.

HOLY MOLY! The In-N-Out of all In-N-Outs! This NOT DINE-IN and only has tables outside with those cute little umbrella shades on small round picnic tables. Of course, you can also do Drive-Thru. Their line gets insanely long on weekend nights, as most In-N-Outs, I must imagine. They have 2 lines, though, so it helps the lines go by faster. Of course, their tables get full quickly as well (during summer, pray you find one). The service here was always quick, and they do have a small separate room with a window where you can see them slicing the veggies! Nothing to hide! I miss this In-N-Out a whole lot! I might just drive up there one day and relive old memories :-)

Always good food, my complicated orders are never messed up. They always get my fries right when I ask for them cooked for 2 minutes and my double double with extra grilled onions. There always smile and get the long lines out fast!!!

Food is great. The service seems slower than usual. But its always worth the wait

Service and food we ordered were great! Came at the right time cause several minutes after we sat outside the group of 40 students from a nearby HS came and hung around and the place became busy.

This In-N-Out is fast and efficient the employees are very nice and professional. One time out of like 100 they got my order wrong and I called the customer service # and they sent me out a coupon for a free meal which was very good customer service.

This is an in-n-out that'll just do. Just down the way from Donut Man and near a park which will probably be where you might want to go since this in-n-out does not have indoor seating. It's two drive thru spots and some outdoor umbrella seating. Dodge the cars and you'll ge there. Inside you can order and sit on uncomfortable seating (limited) and wait for your number. It's so uncomfortable that there is a aluminum bar jamming you in the back. The one time I should have gone through the drive thru and I didn't.

What can I say more than the entire chain is awesome. The food is the freshest ever, the prices are reasonable and everything is delicious. They are the masters of "keep it simple" and make it amazing. It is always fun watching how many employees they can squeeze into such a confined space.

Came by recently again for burgers...They have improved since my last visit. It hit the spot this weekend!! :)

I never had a problem with any IN & OUT until today......almost done with my fries when l found a piece of Brillo type "fiber" on it. Had to spit it out cuz it was blended in like the same colors of the fries.

The best burgers in town with the friendliest service! Don't forget to order animal style!!!

  • A. D.

My first impression is that it very clean and the Workers are very polite. Menu is simple but wow the Double Double is excellent. All they have is Burgers, but a friend order a Grill Cheese only because he doesn't eat meat This place is the best value for its price and it has excellent quality of food. I have tried 5 Guys and now I know why they call it 5 Guy Because it takes 5 Guys to tried to make a Burger and even then there over price and there lettuce & tomato taste like they got them at a flea market.

I was so excited when I first found out that In n Out was so close from where I was staying as it is one of the places I always try to go during my CA visits. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed after two tries... For some reason, it wasn't the same fresh burger I had at the other locations in CA. The patty seemed a bit dry and burgers had less tomato and lettuce or something lacking. The burgers just didn't wowed me like they did in the past. I later heard that this location is one of the first few stores opened which makes it more unique (but also explains why they are so small). The staff was extremely friendly and nice though! And compared to other fast food hamburger chains, the burgers are still pretty good considering how cheap they are!

    (3)
  • Richard W.

The bottom line with this place: the food was cheap and the ingredients were of better quality than you would find at most fast food places, but not as good as the hype would suggest (and, yes, I ordered off the secret menu and got the fries "animal style.") I should also say that the staff were super nice: easily the nicest and most helpful staff of any fast food establishment I've ever been to. I have to say, I was really looking forward to In-N-Out based on constant hype about how good it was from all of my west coast friends. However, I also have to say that I was very disappointed given the hype. I ordered a hamburger, fries "animal style," and a vanilla shake. For $8, it was actually a pretty good deal in terms of the total amount of food I got. Unfortunately, the hamburger wasn't that juicy or tasty and the fries tasted like cardboard. The toppings on the hamburger did appear fresh (tomato, lettuce, and grilled onions), but they, too, were flavorless. The "animal style" sauce tasted like a combination of mayo and ketchup and did not add significant flavor the fries to save them. The cheese that was on the fries had little to no flavor and tasted more like cheese topping than cheese. Finally, the vanilla shake was essentially just slightly melted ice cream put into a cup. It was so thick that it was difficult to drink and was just not that different from eating ice cream from the supermarket. To be honest, it might be worth coming here given that the cost is cheap, but there are better burgers to be had elsewhere (which I did ultimately have elsewhere in California). Don't base your judgement of West Coast burgers on this place. The West Coast has awesome hamburgers... just not here. I have no idea why this place is so so hyped on the East Coast.

3 stars for the food. The patty tastes as good as ever but looked smaller than I remember. The fries are still the bomb. Yep. 2 stars for service. Server called out my order number, and then asked me if I wanted any ketchup. I said that I didn't want them. Then she asked, "are you sure that's your order?" (I'm sure she meant to ask, "May I see your receipt, please?") So I showed my receipt. No words from her, blank look, and walked away. And then I took the ketchup out of the bag and told her I didn't want them. What's up with this place?

  • Nikki J.

I was very disappointed in the food I received last night. My fries were soggy, limp, and nasty little pieces that looked and tasted terrible! Why anyone would serve those amazes me! I ate maybe 3 then threw the rest away. My grilled cheese was slopped together and did not resemble anything have eaten at in n out before. I don't think I will go to this location again.

  • Melanie D.

Yet another INO to try! This location is about 1 mile off the freeway. There are multiple stores located in the same plaza. It is a very small place that has 2 drive thru lines for quicker ordering and pick up. Inside is quite tiny and is standing room only, except for a small bench that seats a few people. There are a few outdoor tables for seating and restrooms accessed from outside the building.

I am very fortunate to live nearby this in n out. It is one of the very few in n outs in this style and they never dissapoint. There has never been a time where these guys screwed up my order and service is always more than adequate. Employees are extremely nice from what I have experienced and never rub me the wrong way. The food itself is excellent as always I mean it's in n out of course its great. The only gripe I have is sometimes it can get very very busy and crowded so it can be a little long before putting down an order and it may also be a hassle finding a seat outside. That is why I go at night though so it is not much of a problem at all. Living near this in n out is a very good privledge and I highly reccomend this place (unless you know you go in the drive through during lunch hour).

  • William S.

It's always weird to me that no other company has been able to eat In-N-Out's lunch, so to speak. I would think In-N-Out could be copied and replicated all over the parts of the United States where In-N-Out doesn't exist. But it hasn't happened. I think Five Guys tried, but the burgers just aren't the same, even while the decor is laughably similar. In-N-Out burgers do something that no other burger I've ever had does. Their burgers are flavor diverse. You have the meat and cheese, but the spread balances it. Everyone will get onions, lettuce, tomato, and/or pickle the way they like, but if you get a burger with their signature spread, the flavor is going to be unique to In-N-Out. Simply put, when you eat an In-N-Out burger, you can taste all the differing flavors of the various items on the burger, but it also has one distinct flavor. No other burger does that.

When you get there you will probably see a huge line blocking traffic...your instinct will be to not go, but trust me, they move that line! Service is always friendly and c'mon the food is always excellent

This place is crowded from 11a- 1pm...EVERYDAY! Seating is outside, but they share a BIG parking lot.

In N Out is definitely not a fast food joint when one visits during the peak hours (lunch and dinner). The burgers are so worth the money and the wait.

Super delicious here good environment good people good neighborhood what more can you ask for did I forget to mention good cookers

As always, friendly greeting at the drive up. Kids were stoked to get some hats with their meal. Got the usual double double and fries. Does not disappoint. One of our first stops.when back in California.

One of my favorite In N Outs, they always get it right, super friendly, it's a great place to eat! Cons: Only seating is outside No self serve drink dispensers, you have to go up to the counter to get a refill, they're usually super busy so I always feel kind of bad to bother them It gets wicked packed with the high school kids, they don't always have the best manners either! There are two drive thrus, it can get very annoying when people begin to cut you off. However when it's busy the person standing outside taking orders typically notices when this happens and is fair to the person who is waiting. If you're prone to road rage I would not recommend coming drive thru in peak hours.

  • Lynette V.

This review is solely to comment on the fast food part... it is the worst! 20 minutes plus just to get a #3 meal. This place is too crowded for its location. Upper management needs to develop a better strategy for processing their orders or have this place remodeled to be able to handle their clientele quantity.

    (2)
  • Yadira S.

I love in n out! The service here is friendly and fast the only thing I dislike about this location is that they don't have inside dinning. There are patio tables outside but that can get really annoying when it's really hot or cold outside.

    (4)
  • Steve J.

Nice little place. Busy on Friday nights after the local football game. This is a to go place. They have maybe 8 tables outside. So on a warm day, eating in the car. But it's in and out! It's freaking good food. I especially love the fries. During busy times a person comes out to help with the lines. So that speeds it up. Better then McDonald's any day. This is Steve Justice signing off.

  • Jesse S.

It's In N Out. What more do you need? They're awesome, food even better. Every time I come here they're fast, polite, and I don't think they've ever gotten the order wrong. Plus, as I said, it's In N Out, I don't need to say how the food is, because it's ridiculously good.

  • Jim A.

I LOVE In-N-Out!! I have been coming to this particular location for almost 35 years. Simple, quality food for fair prices. You get exactly what you expect from In-N-Out. Ok, so maybe this location does not have a fancy eat in area. You walk up to order and take your food with you, back to your car, or over to the many picnic tables they have. Or, you drive through..... This place is history, it is nostalgia.... I appreciate that it has not changed since I was in college! They have two drive throughs.... take the right one. It is easier to pay.

What I ate: Cheeseburger animal style, fries, root beer Visit date: November 5, 2011 First time? Yes (to this location) Growing up in SoCal, of course I'm a fan of In-n-Out. Today was a particularly wonderful experience. My friends and I had just ran a 5k obstacle course and we were hangry. I wasn't craving a burger at all; I actually wanted some soup cause it was so cold, but In-n-Out is fast and reliable so we went. This was one of the BEST tasting In-n-Out burgers I've ever had. I got quiet real fast and enjoyed every mouth watering bite. I was kind of sad when I finished my food. Yay burger! O yea, and the cashier was on-point and pleasant.

I'm not going to go on about what it's like to eat an In-N-Out burger. If you know, you know. If you don't, what the hell are you waiting for? Stop reading and go eat one! Shoo! This particular In-N-Out delivers burgers definitely up to the usual standards--though I'm not sure if I've ever been to one which doesn't. Without indoor seating, though, your options are to sit on In-N-Out's typical outdoor tables, along the edge of a parking lot (mercifully delineated by concrete pylons for safety's sake), or to strictly operate from your car. With two drive-thru lanes, the lines do tend to move a bit more quickly than the average single-lane store, but the service is still on the slower, more impersonal side. Because of these two facts, and the way this compares to other, more accommodating In-N-Outs, I give this one only 4 stars, where most would receive 5. Will it keep me from going there? Heck no--I'm gonna get my burger on if I need to! But it does make me somewhat reluctant to go there, specifically, if I might soon be near another, better site.

  • Jin M.

Id give them 5 stars but I dont eat beef and I wish they would add a turkey burger already. BUT I love the concept of this place along with the consistency. I have never had an issue with service. Everyone is always so cheerful and helpful. The place is always clean. Even the outside tables. I also love after a football game when there are a million kids out there showing team spirit!

First off, let's remember this is In-N-Out, a staple food for the Southern Cali culture that we live in. This In-N-Out offers only outdoor eating, perfect for 12PM or 12AM. The food is to die for, as it is a staple in most peoples diets. I typically go for a Double-Double Meal, which includes a 2 by 2 (2 patties and 2 cheese) hamburger, fries, and a small drink. I usually get well-done fries cause they're more crunchy, and a Lemon-Up which is fantastic. Overall, this is the perfect place for an In-N-Out in La Verne.

In N Out is the best fast food ever created. This specific joint serves pretty good, freshly prepared burgers and fries as does all the In N Out places across the west coast. The area it is in does sort of affect wait time, but no so much that its an issue. Overall a good place with great food.

I came to LA for the first time last week and had my share of In-N-Out at various spots. This was by far the best location we visited. A guy named Dean served us and was very cool. He told us the story of the company and how it's still family owned and operated. He also talked about their quality standards regarding their ingredients (i.e. meat). He even came out and chatted us up a little bit when we were eating and made sure everything was good. I got better service at In-N-Out than I have at some fine dining places.

    (5)
  • Jimmy S.

This is a pretty cool little spot. It's in-n-out so you know it's good. I come here every once in a while. I hate the drive thru since its always jam packed. Only outside seating which is alright; there are parking spots if you like eating in your car. I usually park and walk in to order rather than wait in the drive thru. Other than that it's in-n-out what's there to complain about.

    (4)
  • John L.

In 'n' Out offers consistently high quality, freshly cooked burgers and fries. This is my favorite place to grab a quick burger either to eat on my way or to take home. Never ate at the outside tables because seating is rather limited. I've never been disappointed with the food. Order takers and window checkout personnel are always very pleasant and helpful. There is always a line of cars waiting, but they do their best to keep it moving forward. On the down side, the shakes are way too small, and as far as I can tell by their menu, they don't offer a large one.

    (5)
  • Jonah K.

Always tasty and simple. I still think that 5 guys is just about as good, and has better fries.

Always packed and slow when packed... They need to expand to keep up with demand

Everyone knows In N Out is fantastic so I'll keep this brief.. The cheeseburger animal style was superb but I wish they toasted the buns at this location! Still, the tomatoes and lettuce were particularly fresh. I also loved the amount of lettuce, just great! The fries though were the highlight of my meal. Hands down best In N Out fries I've had and I've been around.. My friends swear by this location and now I know why. I don't live around here but when I'm in town I'll surely visit this In N Out again!!

This review is actually for ALL In & Out locations, not just this one. Call me an infidel if you will, but I just don't get it. I've been eating these burgers, and at least trying to like them, for over 50 years. But to this day they just leave me flat. Maybe they are too fresh. Maybe the grill is too clean. But to my foodie likes, In & Out just doesn't excite me. For one thing the fries are just awful. I've asked for them well done, but that just makes them hard like canned shoe string potatoes. I swear there is no way to get these fries to taste good. Any frozen deep fried french fry is better. Like Tommy's fires or even McDonald's fries are better. But they didn't get famous for their fries did they? So what is the deal with my disapointment with the burgers? Well for one I know they say they cook their burgers only after they are ordered. But come on guys! When you look out that window and see a thousand cars in line maybe just go ahead a start putting some patties on the grill. Those cars are not waiting to buy iced tea. Get some burgers going for heaven's sake! They are still going to be fresh off the grill. I just don't want to wait that long. So here here my buger complaints: 1 Meat has no taste. Maybe needs more salt. Or maybe the grill is too clean. But there is no char or no sear to the meat. 2 What's the deal with the giant head of lettuce? In and Out should shred the lettuce like any really good burger place does. I don't need that much watery lettuce to take away from the already weak burger patty. 3 the spead is not good. I've ordered them with mustard and they are better, But why no mayo option? Thousand island on a burger is equal to putting ketchup on a hot dog. It's just too sweet. 4 Why do I have to ask for pickles? Pickles should be standard. They just don't understand that a buger needs the right combinations of textures and tastes. Sorry but I have tried to like these things. And even with this being said I still say In and OUt is a quality company. It's just a matter of taste I guess. Two stars for being a top notch quality company No stars for taste and texture

Pretty much a standard In-N-Out, except: There's a large, difficult-to-see metal column in the left side drive-through. It was my first time here, and I didn't see the red pole against the red wall behind it, and I decided to drive closer to the window so I could reach without getting out of the car. Bam, the pole clipped my right rearview mirror and damaged it. The employees just looked at me silently and slightly apologetically as they handed me my food, which makes me suspect that I'm not the first customer this happened too. Not going to be coming back to this particular In-N-Out and its little obstacle course.

There's not much to say in n out just makes the best burgers. 4x4 is amazing with a strawberry shake.

I ride my bicycle by here every day. On the really good days there is onions and mustard on the grille. Its a killer smell! Try your burger Protein Style for the ultimate in real burger taste.

In n Out is too simple to hate on! This location is so tiny and there is no indoor seating but I prefer to stuff my face in the privacy of my own home. I like the double lane drive through. It seems more efficient until people pull in from the Foothill and block everything. The only thing that can get frustrating (it happened to me twice and I've seen it happen to other customers) is when friends of employees drive by and yell and the employee interrupts my order to laugh and wave and one time cursed. Oh well. I'll let it slide because all I really care about is my yummy burger, fries, and black and white shake!

  • Allan M.

Hands down the BEST quick service burger I have ever had! (In-n-outs in general) Fresh, never frozen beef from their own farms if I'm not mistaken. Quality fresh produce. Quick service providing perfect looking sexy burgers every time. Very basic menu which is a plus, I love when a restaurant does one thing and does it right. Check out their secret menu online. When I go to CA my first order of business when leaving the airport is to find an In-n-Out. DOUBLE DOUBLE ANIMAL STYLE W/ FRIES AND A NEAPOLITAN MILKSHAKE- this is my staple.

  • Jia B.

Went here last night before a movie at the Laverne theater which is practically right next door. The service was impressive, and it was fun to watch them super efficiently make 8 - 12 burgers at once. As always, the burgers were great (not as great as a non-fast food burger, but definitely the king of fast food burgers!) And the fries were delicious. I just wish they had indoor seating because it was a bit nippy to sit outside last night! Thanks for an awesome fast dinner guys :)

Great place to watch high school fights go down. Kinda like a central meeting place for all young townies. The main attraction of this shopping center. You all know how good In n Out is and their widespread popularity, so know need to comment on the food. Well maybe one thing to say... THE HABIT IS BETTER!!! Good thing to have a solid In'n Out in town. La Verne is lucky to have this, amongst other certain essential spots that are suprising to find in such a small town.

  • Dorothy L.

This location is primarily a drive-thru - one of the ones with two lanes. They have a small store to order "for here", and then an outdoor seating area to enjoy your Double Double Protein Style with grilled onions. ;) The service was wonderful, with very friendly and efficient women working the front, even on a crazy busy Sunday afternoon! Love In-N-Out!

  • Scott S.

Very affordable and basically good burgers for family eating! Fantastic hiring of employees. They are all very hard working. Have never received a screwed up order. Impressive! Shop hours very convenient. Seems to be always very busy and they do their best to help facilitate and shorten the two vehicle line drive through. Outside seating available. If you want inside seating go to The Habit down the street.

    (5)
  • K B.

The place is quite small, but their outdoor seating (their only seating) are quite nice, next to the side of the road. It is also next to Stater Bros., which makes it easier to buy groceries. The down side is that it is across Bonita High School, where high school-ers could be quite immature. They are In-N-Out trained, which is quite nice because the service is fast. Sometimes the cashiers wait on a few drive-through cars before the people in the stores though, but maybe that's just what they are trained to do. Recommend the fries. Typically their secret menu is lovely as well. I do not like the taste of Animal Fries, but that is a very great choice for a lot of customers.

    (4)
  • Sam S.

If heaven were a meal, it would definitely come with a side of extra-crispy, animal style fries from In-N-Out. After a long day at the beach, fries and a milkshake are all I want. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess the burgers are okay, too. Also, like most In-N-Outs, this branch is open late, so you can get your grub on whenever the need strikes you. This In-N-Out can get quite happening, so make sure you get everything that you order. Sometimes, it's so busy your server will forget catsup and all that jazz.

  • Jason T.

With a place as ubiquitous as In-N-Out, everyone has their own bank of memories. I have fond memories of this particular location as being the location where I first enjoyed a true In-N-Out burger and fries (Granted, I was like 10 and was still all "eww" whenever a vegetable touched my food, so it truly was remarkable that I enjoyed something so healthy as In-N-Out burger and fries). And this In-N-Out is just as good as every other one. So enjoy your secret-menu-stretchin animal style grilled onion 4x3 with a Neapolitan shake and fries well done!

  • Caitlin C.

In regards to the In-n-outs that I've been too, this is by probably the most unique so far. Double drive through windows and tiny kitchen. It's amazing they go so fast! We ordered inside and took it to our car to eat. It's only a counter inside, between the two drive thrus. There are places to sit and eat outside, but it was freakin freezin today. Pretty much the same as every In-n-out food quality wise. I feel that In-n-out isn't a unique burger, but its an In-n-out burger, its own category as far as I'm concerned. But obviously in comparison to other fast-foodies I still rate them at the top for their food, but also for their business choices, ingredient choices, and ethics. It was extra satisfying today after having walked around the Fairplex past the overpriced food vendors.

  • Ballistically J.

I beg to differ. Having worked for the in-n-out corporation at store 64 on barranca, I can honestly say that the La Verne location is lacking. Big time. I have lived right next to it for 5 years and refuse to eat there. Everything is way over salted. As if salt is the secret ingredient. Their tomatoes are always off and at least one of the four burgers I order is incorrect. Maybe they pissed off the delivery guy or something. This in-n-out is by all means sub par. It doesn't even taste like in-n-out but rather a poor knock off. There is something goin on that is not quite right. I recommend that QFC look in to it. Skip this location. When I want in-n-out. I drive to the San Dimas location even thought this one is walking distance from my house.

Wow, In-N-Out is like the BEST burger place in the whole world. Damn. Their lettuce, tomatoes, and onions are just sooo fresh. Their cheese is soo yummy, and their meat is like cooked exactly right. Their fries are super yummy delicious also. I just recently tried the protien burger from there (the one wrapped in lettuce) and it's sooooooooooooooooooooooo freaking good! I love In-N-Out!

This has got to be the best burger for the buck in Southern California. Crisp lettuce, fresh onion, ripe tomatoes and the meat is done to perfection. Not too much dressing, great cheese. I always get the double double with everything and my wife gets the double meat with extra onions. We split an order of fries, which are thin, and very tasty. We use the Drive-thru. This location is packed, because it's less than a block from the high school where students are allowed off campus to eat. Where else can two eat a big double burger with half an order of fries for under $7.50?

I'm not usually a frequenter of In-N-Out Burger, but on one occasion a month or so back, me and my fella were feeling the hankering for a good burger. We stopped motored on into the one of double drive thru lanes to make our order. I had forgotten to mention to the cashier that I didn't want the special sauce at the initial time of order. When we pulled up to the window, I asked if it was okay to change my order. She didn't hesitate one bit and made sure her co-workers knew to make the change. I couldn't believe how fast all of the staff was working to complete the walk-up orders as well as those coming through the drive-thru. We didn't get out quickly, but our burgers sure tasted great when we got them.

In N Out is a good burger for the price plus they allow you to make as big as a burger as you want. Like a 4x4 Animal, or a 5x4 with no sauce and ketchup and mustard instead. This is not a burger or fries that travel well. You have to eat them right there or else the fries will become cold and not worth eating. They are good to go to when you don't want to get out of you car to get a burger.

When other girls are down they either go shopping or go get a mani/pedi. When the Chubby Monster is down, she goes to In-n-Out for a 4x4 protein style with animal style fries and a diet coke (gotta keep that girlish figure). Thank you In-n-Out.
